NewsA small but determined Jyoshinmon team represented our club at the first Regional Karate Tournament of the year organised by Karate Auckland, held on Sunday, 8 March 2026, at the Auckland Netball Centre Stadium. Every competitor put in a strong performance, and we are especially proud of the Kaur siblings, who stepped onto the tournament floor for the very first time.
Our gratitude goes to our dedicated coaching team — Shihan David Bennett, Sensei Beaty Bennett, Sensei Chris Bennett, and Sensei Zak Bennett — for guiding and supporting our athletes throughout the day.
A special thank you to Prisha Parikh, who volunteered as Table Staff alongside Sensei Jojina Bennett, who also trained new volunteers on operating the Sportdata scoring system. Chris Sensei took on the responsibility of running the Sportdata system and assisting volunteers with marshalling duties, ensuring the event ran as smoothly as possible.
There was a special presentation to award the Grand Winners of the 2025 Auckland Karate League Championships. Congratulations to the following Jyoshinmon students!
