JYOSHINMON SHORIN-RYU

Thanks everyone for your help at the grading at the New Lynn dojo in Auckland on the weekend. The kitchen was excellent and well organised. Hope the twins did not eat too much.

Thanks to Senseis Beaty, Chris, Chante and Jason for their input and advice. As well Thank You Black Belts for your assistance (including Thomas, Sevita), and to Kirby and Zak for your kata demonstrations.

It is always good to see the smiles on the faces of the children and young adults that took part. Hopefully the parents were smiling as well because their child’s success was their success as well. How many of those children would be there if not for their parents help.

It was nice to see participants from the Onehunga dojo present. They looked pretty good as well. The 3 green belts were quite an inspiration. When they started they were defiantly not naturally good karateka, but they have obviously worked hard, never given up and now they look really skilled and professional. Congratulations!

Well Done to the students listed below - especially the three that got 3rd Kyu. We have waited for years and you did it! (hee hee).

Before we started the grading, we held a minute's silence to pay our respects to Shihan Robbie Smith of New Zealand Wado-Kai, who very sadly passed away yesterday.
