Well done to our 7 Jyoshinmon team members at the Northland Karate Open Tournament!
This tournament was held in Whangarei at the ASB Stadium, which was organised by the Auckland and Northland region of Karate New Zealand, with its Chairperson - Sensei Jason Ng - who gave the Opening Welcome address. Sensei Jason is also one of the National Referees and Judges in both Kata and Kumite.
Shihan David Bennett, Sensei Beaty Bennett and Sensei Chris Bennett coached our team. Sensei Chris also provided technical support for the Sportdata tournament entries and results. Jyoshinmon volunteered the use of the mats from our New Lynn Dojo, as well as monitors for the event.
Senpai Jojina Scott participated as a Regional Referee and Judge for both the Kata and Kumite divisions. Senpai Sevita Laufoli and Jose Castillo also helped with the judging. Senpai Sian Scott provided assistance as a Table Official for Sportdata entry, including Antonino Motuliki.
