First of 3 training camps for the year with attendance required to consideration for national team selection. Different this time was the session at the beach with fitness and games. Held in Auckland and is a 4-day event.

The camp was organized by the National Coaches with Karate New Zealand, and the training hall hired by the Auckland Karate Regional Council at Carmel College on the North Shore.

Sensei Chris Bennett was one of the coaches and gave three training sessions on Kumite, with Shihan David Bennett, Sensei Beaty Bennett and Sensei Jason Ng assisting with the coaching.
