NewsRegional karate tournament in association with Karate Auckland at Te Rapa Sports Dome in Hamilton. A minute's silence was held to pay our respects to Shihan Robbie Smith of New Zealand Wado-Kai, who very sadly passed away on 23rd May 2014 and would have been conducting the event.
Jyoshinmon coaches were Shihan David Bennett, Sensei Beaty Bennett, Sensei Chris Bennett and Sensei Chante Betham. Sensei Jason Ng was one of the Referees for both Kata and Kumite.
Well Done to all the Jyoshinmon students who took part. Unlucky to get a medal this time was Skylar Castillo, Paige Macdonald and Odeci Sane. Also a big Thank You to Sian Scott for taking the photos of our team for the gallery!
