NewsRegional karate tournament held by Karate Auckland at Diocesan Girls School Sports Centre in Epsom. A minute's silence was held to pay our respects to Shihan Robbie Smith of New Zealand Wado-Kai, who very sadly passed away on 23rd May 2014.
Well done to our 3 Juniors that entered with two from Onehunga dojo! Maafu Vaka was unlucky not to get a medal.
Congratulations to our Cadet and Senior competitors too!
Jyoshinmon coaches were Shihan David Bennett, Sensei Beaty Bennett, Sensei Chris Bennett and Sensei Chante Betham, whose brother Monty was there to give us support. Sensei Jason Ng was one of the Referees for both Kata and Kumite.
