Jyoshinmon had 4 members representing New Zealand at the World Junior & Cadet Championships & -21 World Cup held in Guadalajara, Spain:
Kirby Wotherspoon - Junior Female Kata
Zak Scott - Under 21 Kata Male
Lana Crichton - Junior Kumite Female -53 KG
Mexha Sane - Cadet Kumite Female 54+ KG
For Mexha and Zak, this was their first experience of world-level competition and the standard was higher than in previous championships. Although the results were not as we hoped, it was beneficial for those who took part as each tournament is a stepping stone to improvement.
Also an opportunity to visit anew countries, meet other karate champions and have well-deserved fun after all the training!
