This year there were only 6 Jyoshinmon members that were able to compete at the CNI Karate Championships. Each one achieved 1 or 2 medal placings - WELL DONE EVERYONE!
This event was held in Tauranga at the Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre, and it was organised by the Central North Island region of Karate New Zealand.
Shihan David Bennett and Sensei Beaty Bennett coached our team, as well as Sensei Chris Bennett, who also provided technical support for the Table Officials.
Senpai Jojina Scott was one of the Referees for both Kata and Kumite, with Senpai Zak Scott also judging after he finished competing. Senpai Sian Scott assisted as a Table Official and provided training for Sportdata entry.
We would like to thank the parents for their support of the whole team, and to Antonino Motuliki for volunteering as a Table Official.
