Congratulations to Senpai Sian Scott! She was part of the National team who were selected to represent New Zealand at the Seniors only Oceania Karate Championships in Sydney, Australia.
The Oceania Karate Federation (OKF) is a member of the World Karate Federation (WKF) which has full Olympic recognition. The OKF will hold Senior Regional Karate Championships every year, with Junior/Cadet on alternate years.

Senpai Sian Scott and Senpai Jose Castillo were invited by Karate Papamoa to join their team in the Kumite divisions at the Gojukai National Championships. Senpai Zak Scott was also invited but unfortunately he fell ill with a viral infection and had to be hospitalised. It was a pity he did not recover in time to participate as a competitor.
