WELCOME TO 2025!
DOJO CLASS START DATES
New Lynn Dojo
The first day of class for 2025 is Monday 6th January.
Manurewa Dojo
The first class for 2025 is Tuesday 7th January.
Onehunga Dojo
The first class for 2025 is Wednesday 8th January.
Mangere Bridge Dojo
The first class for 2025 is Thursday 9th January.
Ranui Dojo
The first class for 2025 is Tuesday 28th January.
KARATE NEW ZEALAND TRAINING CAMP
The first KNZ National Training Camp for 2025 will be held in Auckland by National Coaches.
The camp welcomes athletes aged 6 years and older, catering to everyone from recreational participants to those aspiring to represent their nation. It focuses on building skills and preparing attendees for peak performance.
Camp Schedule:
Saturday, 25 January: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday, 26 January: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Note: Athletes aiming to be selected in the National Athlete Pool (for NZ team selection and representation) will attend an additional session: Monday, 27 January: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Venue: Barfoot & Thompson Netball Centre (Netball North Harbour), 44 Northcote Road, Northcote, Auckland
The camp focuses on two key areas -
Kumite: Improve point-scoring strategies and refine competitive tactics.
Kata: Work on stances, movement, transitions, and proper breathing with personalised feedback.

COMPETITION TRAINING
The weekly training sessions for those who want to compete at tournaments will resume on Saturday 1st February at the New Lynn Dojo. These will be held by Sensei Chris Bennett with Senpai Sian Bennett-Motuliki. Ask your Sensei first about joining these sessions as they are by invitation only.
AUCKLAND ANNIVERSARY DAY
Our Dojos are closed during public holidays, such as on the upcoming Auckland Anniversary Day on Monday 27th January - for Onehunga and New Lynn. Normal class times will resume the next day.
