This competition is Karate New Zealand’s first National Karate tournament for 2026 and will be hosted in Auckland.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
• Clean white gi, pants and sleeves at correct length but must not be rolled up and should be sewn
• Gi to have Jyoshinmon badge
• ALL KUMITE COMPETITORS MUST WEAR Mouthguards, Body protectors, Red and Blue belts, and Red and Blue hand mitts (matching the belt they are competing in), Foot protectors must match the belt colour
• Male Kumite competitors must wear a groin protector
• Female Kumite 11-year-olds and above – Advised to wear approved chest protectors under the body protector (will be provided at the tournament)
• Headgear mandatory for Under 14 (will be provided at the tournament)
