First Regional event of the year – the Auckland Karate League Championship Round 1 organised by Karate Auckland.
The Auckland Karate League will have 4 rounds this year culminating in the Auckland Grand Champions.

Location: Auckland Netball Centre, 7 Allison Ferguson Drive, St Johns, Auckland
Format of the tournament uses round-robin preliminary qualifying rounds for all individual divisions with pools of 3–5 competitors:
• All competitors receive a minimum of two matches
• Repechage will not apply
• Kata: 5 years and over
• Kumite: 6 years and over

Each competitor must provide the following details:
Full name
Gender (M/F)
Date of birth
Weight (kg)
Height (cm)
Grade
Confirm participation in Kata or Kumite or both
All entry fees must be paid to The Dojo by Friday 28th February - ASB 12 3034 0437773 00
Payments must reference competitor name with "AklMar26 ".
Until entries with the correct fee have been received, the entries will stay on the waiting list.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
• Clean white gi, pants and sleeves at correct length but must not be rolled up and should be sewn
• Gi to have Jyoshinmon badge
• ALL KUMITE COMPETITORS MUST WEAR Mouthguards, Body protectors, Red and Blue belts, and Red and Blue hand mitts (matching the belt they are competing in), Foot protectors must match the belt colour
• Male Kumite competitors must wear a groin protector
• Female Kumite 11-year-olds and above – Advised to wear approved chest protectors under the body protector (will be provided at the tournament)
• Headgear mandatory for Under 14 (will be provided at the tournament)
