The training sessions are aimed at those who have not entered a tournament before or have only entered one or two. We will be introducing everyone to how tournaments are run, the basic rules as well as some actual tournament training and a mock tournament.
Please note that the tournament will only be practice rounds, so no medals or certificates will be awarded.
COACHING
Any Dan Grade members who would like to Coach our competitors at a tournament, are welcome to join and practice during the mock tournament training sessions.

Equipment requirements
Red and blue belts as well as Kumite shin and foot pads can be provided to use during the training session. However it is highly recommended to invest in your own gloves as these are used during normal class training.
Please bring a water bottle and lunch, though the mall is only a few minutes away by car where there are lots of food choices.
NOTICE: The usual Saturday classes at New Lynn Dojo will be cancelled for this event.
PARKING
There is lots of parking on Portage Road by Synergy Sports Centre and a car park at the back of the building that is accessed from 4 McWhirter Place. (See photos below)
From Reception, there are signs to direct the location of the Dojo which is in the middle of the building next to the basketball courts.

Drive to the far side of the car park.
There is a back door to Synergy Sports Centre from the car park.
Walk through the table tennis area and the basketball courts as the Dojo is at the other end.
