Third Regional event of the year – Auckland Karate League Championship Round 3 – organised by Karate Auckland.
The new Auckland Karate League has 4 rounds this year culminating in the Auckland Grand Championships in September.

Location: Auckland Netball Centre Stadium, 7 Allison Ferguson Drive, St Johns
Any member wishing to participate, please inform your Sensei by Saturday 5th July.
Each competitor must provide the following details on the Entry form provided by your Sensei:

Weight (kg)
Height (cm)
Grade
Confirm participation in Kata or Kumite but preferably do both.
The Auckland Karate League events in 2025 will introduce preliminary Round-Robin qualifying rounds for all events with pools of up to 5 competitors.
Pool winners will qualify for the quarterfinals or semifinals, which then proceed on an elimination basis to the medal rounds. This ensures that every competitor gets at least two matches.
The Round-Robin format means there will no longer be a need for repechage.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
• ALL KUMITE COMPETITORS MUST WEAR:
– Mouthguard
– Body protector (will be provided at the tournament)
– Red and Blue belts
– Red and Blue gloves (matching the belt they are competing in)
– Foot protectors (must match the belt colour)
• Male Kumite competitors must wear a groin protector
• Female Kumite 11-year-olds and above are advised to wear approved chest protector
• Headgear mandatory for Under 14 (will be provided at the tournament)
• Clean white gi with pants and sleeves at correct length (must not be rolled up and should be sewn)
• Gi to have the Jyoshinmon badge (order the badge through your Sensei)
TEAM DRESS
If having a braid or ponytail, it must be tied in a single style as more than one is not allowed.
Competitors are representing the club, so please do not wear jeans, leggings or shorts.
Black track pants are preferable with the Jyoshinmon T-Shirt and/or jacket if you possess one. You can order the Jyoshinmon T-shirt through your Sensei.
Coaches must wear the Jyoshinmon tracksuit.
