This years Karate NZ Preseason training took place in Auckland with a special guest instructor, Sensei Greg Francis from England. Sensei Greg has been assistant coach to the England Karate team for 10 years as well as being the founder of FIT2FITE which is a Karate to music exercise class.
Sensei Greg ran multiple Kumite classes throughout the weekend which were greatly appreciated by all who attended, students, referees and coaches alike. In addition to the Kumite classes, Sensei Greg also ran two FIT2FITE sessions that pushed the fitness levels of those that took part but in keeping with traditional sport Karate techniques. Sensei Greg was invited to attend the camp by Jyoshinmon NZ and we were very happy that his instruction and tutelage was widely acknowledged to be some of the best that Karate NZ had experienced.
Some lucky students from Jyoshinmon NZ got to take part in the camp including Zak and Sian Scott, Sevita, Bruce and Ross Laufoli, Jose, Juan and Skylar Castillo, Nukumai and Mihi as well as Odeci Sane.
Jyoshinmon New Zealand had 4 Sensei's who helped throughout the weekend. Shihan David Bennett, Sensei Beaty Bennett, Sensei Chris Bennett and Sensei Jason Ng.
