NewsFirst Open Day held at the Honbu (main dojo) in New Lynn. From all 3 Dojos in Auckland, this was the largest number of students grading and there were some stand outs who were presented with grades matching their abilities.
It was a fantastic day with many visitors who came to watch the Karate training and some took part in the FIT2FITE session.
Thank you to all those who helped on the day. Sensei Jason Ng who is a Karate New Zealand Referee, helped with Kumite (fighting) demonstrations. Sensei Darren Blomfield and Sensei Chante Betham helped with instructing the students, along with Senpai Sevita Sabine, Senpai Jose Castillo, Senpai Bruce Sabine, Senpai Ross Sabine, and Senpai Sian Scott.
Thank you to the parents who took the time to bring their children and support the event, and helped with the sausage sizzle.
