Great effort by our Jyoshinmon team who competed at the Hamilton Open Karate Tournament at the Te Rapa Sports Dome in Hamilton, organised by Karate New Zealand - Central North Island Region. A minute's silence was held in respect for Shihan Bob Dalton, Chief Instructor of Karatedo Shitoryu New Zealand who sadly passed away last February.
Our team were coached by Shihan David Bennett, Sensei Beaty Bennett and Sensei Chris Bennett.
As usual, Sensei Jason Ng was one of the Referees for Kata and Kumite. Assisting as Score Supervisor was Senpai Jojina Scott on Mat 2. Rallying support for our team were the proud parents.
Well done to all our competitors and better luck next time for Mason Stewart, Sei Ana and Michaela Hugo.
