NewsWell Done to all Jyoshinmon New Zealand members who took part at the Open Championships organised by Karate Auckland, and included competitors from Secondary Schools in the Auckland and Northland regions. Trophies were also awarded to all 1st place competitors in the Open categories plus certificates for participation. Good effort by Michaela Rikki Hugo and Sei Ana Hugo who were unlucky this time in getting a medal placing.
Jyoshinmon coaches were Shihan David Bennett, Sensei Beaty Bennett, and Sensei Chris Bennett who also helped with some of the judging. Sensei Jason Ng was one of the Referees as he is a qualified Oceania Judge A in Kata and Oceania Judge A in Kumite.
Also assisting with judging - Zak Scott, Jojina Scott and Sian Scott. Help as Table staff - Sevita Laufoli with her brothers Bruce and Ross, Wendy Hinemoana Kearns, Sian and Jojina Scott.
